There was not a seat to be had! From “Earth, Wind and Fire” to “Eye of the Tiger”, feet were tapping and hands clapping at the Annual Jazz Night Concert held on Friday 1st February at St Peter’s Church, Oundle.
The annual Jazz Night features the Oundle School Jazz Orchestras (OSJOs) led by Mrs Adele Hudson, with such a variety of numbers that are second to none. There were classic Jazz tunes as well as more contemporary arrangements such as the theme from the Bond film “Skyfall”. But not only were there just instrumental arrangements, there were also a couple of excellent solo singers from Oundle School, who added another dimension to the evening.
Whilst there were parents of those taking part attending but also residents from Oundle and surrounding towns and villages. Everyone had a most enjoyable evening – and look forward to it being repeated next year!
